YouTube Privacy Policy

YouTube has its privacy policy about the videos uploading.
In 2008 July, Viacom company Won Court decision Which was a  request to YouTube to provide that data in detail of those users who watch the video and comment on it.This thing helped the Viacom in a way that the viewing habits of individual users can be identified by a combination of their names and addresses of the entrance.

This decision was criticized by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which called the court decision "set-back to privacy rights.                                                                                                  But the District Court Judge Louis Stanton dismissed privacy as "speculative" and ordered YouTube to submit documents totaling about 12 terabytes of data. Judge Stanton rejected Viacom's request for YouTube to forward the source code of its search system, saying that there is no evidence that YouTube videos, violates copyright treated differently.

In short the you tube was trying to giving more advantages to the public but the Viacom oppose it on every stage. Now billions of videos are present on the youtube website and it is a great source of information sharing
channel and also provide entertainment to the peoples. But still some people believe that it is a time consuming video channel  which also shows too much unnecessary videos.
